Day 6: Am I Really Living as a Free Man?

I desire to celebrate it this year as a public proclamation of Freedom. True freedom born into this world at just the right time.

Day 6 of the Journey to Bethlehem is titled At The Right Time.

Read Galatians 4:4-7 | (ESV)

But when the time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under law, to redeem those under law, that we might receive the full rights of sons. Because you are sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, "Abba, Father." So you are no longer a slave, but a son; and since you are a son, God has made you also an heir. (Galatians 4:4-7)

As I am preparing for the celebration of Christmas and thinking about this passage in Galatians I am reminded of the true freedom I have as a follower of Christ. Freedom in Christ. Freedom paid by Christ. Freedom with full rights as a child of God.

As these words from God in His Word flow through my thoughts this morning one question comes to my mind. Am I living, I mean really living, as a free man? Free in Christ?

That is my prayer for today. Lord help me to live every moment, as a redeemed and free child of God. Praise the name of our Savior! Jesus!
