Day 4: Not Too Little for God

Day 4 of the Journey to Bethlehem is titled His Birthplace Foretold.

Read Micah 5:2-5 | (ESV)

"But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times." (Micah 5:2)

I am continually encouraged by God's willingness and desire to select the weak, small, and insignificant places and people to bring about His incredible world changing, life changing, plan.

The very Son of God was born to a young couple with little resources in an animal feeding trough located in a domestic stable in a small village, the smallest clan of Judah or as the ESV translation describes Bethlehem Ephrathah "who are too little to be among the clans of Judah."

Worldly power, prestige, and strength are not the prerequisites for being used by God. That is encouraging to me this morning. Thank you Jesus!
