Day 1: Counseling, Power, Guidance, and Peace

As I wrote about yesterday Scripture Union USA is providing a free online Bible reading guide for Advent called Journey to Bethlehem. Come join me on this Journey.

It started yesterday and we read Isaiah 9:1-7 under the title His Birth Foretold.

Read Isaiah 9:1-7 | (ESV)

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. (Isaiah 9:6)

"Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace" reminds me just how ever-present God is in my life. Jesus is involved in every moment--opening the door to counseling, power, guidance, and peace at any given moment in my day.
