You have a great blog. It is hard to be quiet long enough to hear that Still, Small Voice. I am subscribing to your RSS feed.
You are so right. I struggle with quieting my week down to a point where I can seriously absorb the words of God. But I have to say that I have never been disappointed when I have succeeded turning the volume down in my life.
Currently I am simply focusing on one passage from the Bible each week. Reading it each day during some quite time which may only last a few minutes (usually during lunch), but then thinking about it when I have spare moments while driving or between tasks throughout the day.
Anyway, thanks for stopping by and complimenting this blog, it is very encouraging to me.
I have been coming back every day since you dropped on me and I finally stopped long enough to really look through your blog. It is absolutely awesome and now I'm ready to go close mine. LOL Not really but you do have a wonderful site put together. I suppose I am left with no choice but to subscribe to your blog and I know I will be blessed. Thank You for listening to "the still small voice".
Thank you Cathy for stopping by, reading, commenting, and subscribing to my blog. I pray that it will continue to be a blessing to you while bringing glory to God.

Please feel free to respond in the comment section to any articles you read. I enjoy reading what others have found in the Word. To me reading the Bible is more of a communal thing than most of us know. I look forward to your visits.

Brad,
Thank you for allowing JESUS to work through you. I love your heart, I do hear JESUS!
I love the LORD with all my heart too, I know where I was, where I was heading, and to think JESUS loves me sooo much, that he would pay my penalty for me (and the whole world) with HIS life. I am am in awe!!!
I am always so happy to meet my brothers and sisters in CHRIST. Praise GOD for you all!
I want to leave you with one of my favorite BIBLE verses...
"Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee. Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name.(Psalm 63:3-4)
GOD Bless You my dear brother!
Your sister in CHRIST,
Donna
Brad, I don't know how I found you on Twitter, but I did, and am so very glad I did. Beautiful video for Holy Thursday on Barrabas. And love your tweets that will keep me grounded through the day.
One of my favorite quotes comes from Frederick Buechner in "Telling the Truth" and I was reminded of it by your title and by reading your entries, and because this is what I think you do --
"Let the preacher tell the truth. Let him preach this overcoming of tragedy by comedy, of darkness by light, of the ordinary by the extraordinary, as the tale that is too good not to be true because to dismiss it as untrue is to dismiss along with it that 'catch of the breath, that beat and lifting of the heart near to or even accompanied by tears,' which I believe is the deepest intuition of truth that we have."
Be encouraged...your truthtelling is having an impact. (Mark - wordsburg website coming soon.)
Great quote! Glad you stopped by and left a comment. You have encouraged me. Thanks. Looking forward to checking out your blog once it is live -be sure to stop back to let me know.
Love your puppy picture!! Just dropping by to say hello. I have had a few clicks on your widget off of my blog. Praying people are finding Jesus and learning more about Him. Have a blessed day!
Thank your for this beautiful post! I went straight to my heart. I worry a lot too, and this really helps!
So thank you for giving me a beautiful start of this new day.
Thanks Windi, that is wonderful.
Your Welcome Relimom. God provided today! Now on to the next. Day by Day.
This is an interesting site.
My verse:
Proverb 17:17
"A friend loves at all times"
Great verse SongDiary. The book of Proverbs in the Bible has such great wisdom about friendship. Another one I like is Proverbs 27:6.
"Wounds from a friend can be trusted, but an enemy multiplies kisses."
Such wisdom in the Word of God.
Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to share a verse.
hey, just stumbled across your blog by coincidence (honestly, google likes throwing me a curve ball every once in a while)
anyway, just dropping in to say hi and to tell you to keep it up, your doing a good thing.
will check in from time to time ^_^
Glad you stumbled on my blog, thanks for the encouragement, and I am looking forward to your return visit and comments.
Love your title, "Sound of a soft breath"
I desire to be so in tune to my King that I may perceive every nuance, every nudge. Your site is an encouragement to the Bride! I see you stretching your gifting to write and convey the heart of God to the very thirsty. God bless your gifting to new places and media.
Thank you STEVE for taking your time to stop and encourage me.
I have always struggled with writing and so each post is a challenge, but felt led to force past the technical hindrances of writing and simple try to communicate my honest reaction to what I read in the Word each week.
Praise God for pushing those who follow Him out of their comfort zones.
Just wanted to say hello and thanks for visiting our blog.

Hi hello. Thank you by the way for following my blog. There is one song(or short story) that I love very much. The title is....FOOTPRINTS IN THE SAND....There is one particular stanza/line of that song that always retained in my mind. it goes like this.....The Lord said, my child, my precious, precious child. I love you and I will never leave you. In times of your troubles and sufferings when you see one footprints in the sand, that's the time that I carried you.
Thank you always my friend for dropping EC in my blog. I dropped EC in your blog too. Take care and enjoy your day.
Your posts bless me. Thanks for writing
Thank you ANALOU for stopping dropping by and sharing about FOOTPRINTS IN THE SAND. Many have found comfort in that song, poem, or story. God is WITH US.
Thank you DUSTY CHRIS that means so much to me. God is simply AWESOME and the more I focus on His Word and my honest reflection on it the less of a labor writing is for me. If you told me several years ago that I would be writing on a regular basis I would have thought you were nuts. For most of my life I have avoided reading and writing. I love drawings, graphics, and pictures not words, but God is all about CHANGE. And He has changed me in so many ways. I look forward to more changes.
Thank you all for reading and taking the time to encourage me with your comments.
Beautiful blog. I have linked it to mine (under a list of devotional blogs) so that others might enjoy it, too.
Thank you Elizabeth Mahlou. You are very kind.
I was quite intrigued by reading your profile, blog, and the first several pages of your published book at Amazon.com. What a fascinating Journey! God is Great!

Brad,
Thank you again for your readership at uncommon ordinary and for your support of that site in the past.
I was feeling a strong pull to move away from the mix of poetry ... spiritual and secular there.
My heart has always felt most at home in prayer and so I have just begun Selah (www.ahselah.blogspot.com)
I'm so glad to hear that you are on Facebook, Brad. How you glorify our Savior!
Thank you Laure. My pleasure. I very much enjoy your writing and poetry and will most definitely check out your new blog.
Brad,
Thank you for visiting my blog. I've started following your Twitter accounts and will add your blog to my blogroll.
